Le Eurostar weekend (Qype does London)

Le Eurostar weekend
by Chris Osburn
Qype does London
August 3rd 2008

I’m sure the Eurostar has its share of imperfections (one time about a year ago, my Paris-London train was delayed for what seemed an excruciatingly long couple of hours), but for the most part I’ve had pleasant experiences zipping through the Chunnel. Taking the Eurostar to/from any of its destinations is certainly more civilized and a lot more logistically sensible than getting to/from any airports these days!

Paris Short Film: Liberty Fades

Very short clip shot at the Statue of Liberty in Paris (yes, there's a Statue of Libery in Paris too). What's interesting is how the statue's shadow cast upon the bridge behind it fades in and out. Kinda neat.

Paris Short Film: Eiffel Tower Quickie

Just a quick shot while in passing through the base of this Parisian landmark.

Paris Short Film: L'Art du Bain

Shot early on a Sunday morning from a hotel window in the 16th Arrodisment of Paris. The subject had been standing there for some time before I ever started looking out of the window and was there at least a minute or two before I grabbed my camcorder. Sad.

A Paris residents' association is using the virtual world of Second Life to get the town hall to press on with plans to redevelop a central area of the city.

The association is urging locals to come up with their own ideas for the area's gardens and post them in the online world of Second Life, where people create virtual doubles of themselves called avatars.

Emiana went to Paris for a weekend last month and all I got was this lousy link to her fabulous photos.
